Kingdome 1 worth a play after kc2 ?
I started by KC2, and never played KC1; so I was wondering if KC1 is still worth a play or it has to many flaws compared to KC2.

Ty for your answers.

In KCD1, you must take nothing for granted. Henry at that time is completely unable to read. Combat has 6 attack zones at all times instead of 4 max. Master strikes are entirely RNG based. Other than that, the game looks and plays almost the exact same.

it is less polished but the story is still good

Ok ok. I heard the story is better in KC1, but secondary quest quite meh, can you confirm ?

For me I will wait once kcd2 is done, then play kcd1 and then later kcd 2 with the dlcs again.
kcd1 is somehow less forgiving on combat...

The B-plot revolving around retrieving Sir Radzig's sword?

No not at all, I find kcd1 secondaries better imho :)
Is worth after or before. KCD2 is more polished and developed, is an evolution, but if you like KCD2, u will like KCD1. And know the story is important

Just try it why do you ask? So many people, so many opinions. There is no accounting for taste. When you choose a wife, will you also go to forums to ask for advice? And how will you choose a name for the children? How do you watch TV series? Starting from the first episode or the last one?

Not that profound pal, just asking before losing my time, you know, I don't have all my day and week to play a game to realise it's not that good after 10 hours playthrough

Meh, no need to worry, kcd1 will always be a good buy whatever :)

Yeah, the combat in kcd1 is not really good due to how often npcs spam masterstrikes. No matter how skilled you are, you will still get hit if you attack enemies outside of using masterstrikes.

Every weapon is capable of performing masterstrikes, all it requires is pressing q early, no mirroring whatsoever, hence why you can't really avoid getting hit by a masterstrike other than not attacking.

Mace is king and will wreck enemies in armor. First time I played I took one of the main villains down in one hit with a mace to the head. It made for a good laugh.

Fighting multiple enemies is a pain in the butt, they are extremely aggressive and switching target sucks in kcd1. But there is a good mod that makes the targeting more responsive.

Also, enemies in groups will tackle you a lot, which kinda sucks.

The first part remains one of the best games I've played. The second part is better in some aspects, but the first one has racy scenes and a lot of love invested by the developers in the project.

Still worth it OP. It's a great game. Side quests are just as fun as the main quest. Combat is bit different.

It's worth playing even more, some would say.
