So is this the gameplay?
- Doing main and side quests with no real choice and consequences for 99% of the game
- A barebones "sandbox" where nothing happens on it's own unless the player does something
-Play dice

I like that the game does a good job with the immersion and the locations etc but it all seems like a waste when you have a sanbox where nothing happens, the world is dead basically, you can't do anything but play dice and the main content in the game is do either side quests or main quests that make the game basically a movie game.

I fail to see why people praise this game, it seems really bare bones in terms of gameplay, not to mention the combat is pretty badly designed.

ok
Then don't play it. It would appear your mind is already made up on it.
First time playing a video game ever?
So apparently yes this is the gameplay of the game and I am correct because nobody is trying to even come to say that I am wrong and giving an argument on why.

What a lame game seriously.

This is why gaming needs gatekeeping.
I'm not sure what you're talking about because the main quests I've seen have consequences? ♥♥♥♥ is burning down, characters are dying, an entire castle becomes no longer usable ever at one point.

Gaming doesn't need gatekeeping man

No, it´s just there is no point in writing anything to you.

Thats the only consequence and it leads to nowhere because no matter what you chose you will end up still being ambushed and captured and working against the dude you were working, this desicions don't change anything in the plot.

You have no arguments.
Yes, that is unfortunately about the extent of the gameplay. No challenge, no consequences.

Sanbox is not in the way of how quest will end ....anyway there is plenty quests wich have consequences and lead to other quests or change them little bit or have more ends than one... but main sanbox in it is hidden in your creativity how you will complete quest. And trust me...maybe you dont think about it to much or dont find a true way ....but there is a lot of ways how to complete different quests in game not even with "rolls of dice" with your statistics but with gameplay too.

Have you brewed and sold potions yet? Maybe use that money to buy more ingredients and recipes?
Sandbox is something like Skyrim, something like kenshi, mount and blade or X4 where you can interact with the world and get lost without doing the main quest or other stuff than just questing.

This game is empty, nothing to do outside of quests.

True slow paced RPGs are not for everyone ...
Go for Doom or Souls like imho...

Some things you do in quests have consequences.
You can even burn down two places, or save them from getting burned down.
(Semin and Maleschau village)
