The Thieves' Code bug

So during a task "The Thieves' Code" where you have to go to Hynek's house and talk to Hog I am unable to talk to him. He is stuck in a loop repeating same line over and over again and cant be talked to. Took the letter, read it and quest asks to "talk to hog again" and still cant talk to him so I am unable to progress the quest.

I have the same issue, just cannot talk to him. Anyone has an idea how to solve this?

In general it happens on several occasions, try to at least keep the major "gold" saves just in case

Same problem. I can't exactly reload either or I'd lose over 10 hours of progress on other quests.

Yeah I was in the same spot so ended up just skipping the quest.

I had this problem too, nothing would work and my last save was too far back to reload. Soooo I just stealth killed Hog, and the quest moved on to the next step. Hopefully that helps anyone else in this boat.

The guy who killed him to move forward gave me an idea which works. Stealth knock him out instead, wait a few hours for him to wake up, and then go chat to him again. I was able to move on this way.
