And what about the angry idiots' attempt to boycott?
LOSERS!!!!
So what are we looking at exactly?
Oh, the owner estimations seem to range from 1.46M to 1.72M. Interesting.
There's a disappointingly rampant practice that won't show up until a bit later in a game's lifetime, even in a sequel despite the predecessor.
Steam statistics showing an impressive concurrent player amount and industry estimations of more than 1,5 million copies sold through Steam.
Of course, this doesn't take into account that fact that the game is available on GoG, PS5 and Xbox.
That's true. The number might be accurate. Though not sure I would call the player count impressive. I would call Elden Ring, or Baldur's Gate 3 player counts impressive. But that also depends on the expectations. Did the devs announce the 2M benchmark?
But Minecraft is a good game.
It's all relative: KCD is a pretty niche series. Yet it's more concurrent gamers than Veilguard had. Hell: Even KCD1 somehow managed to beat that thing.
So in those terms i'd say it's impressive.
And you are literally comparing it to two of the pretty much most successful games of the last couple of years.
So in those terms it looks even more impressive.
