Reputation loss on bandit intimidation.

I understand that I lose rep when intimidating, but why does that apply when I am trying to get out of a mugging? Why am I punished for getting out of a mugging without killing the muggers? At this point it seems more beneficial to just egg them on, kill them and that way I don't lose rep and I get more loot. Any explanation why it might be worth it do intimidate bandits?

well you lost reputation with the bandits. You literally mean mugged one of their lot off. Or you lost reputation with that particular character, in the instance that he becomes important later. Which I re-learned the hardway when I got pissed at the huntsmen for making me carry him everywhere and killed him. then realized I needed him later.

I'm pretty sure the reputation loss is just with the bandits that are trying to mug you. Like, it doesn't matter at all. Of course the bandits aren't going to be happy with you talking your way out of giving them all your stuff.

ah i see, it seems like a weird thing to add but at least i know know that it doesnt really matter. now just to deal with the knight sword recipe not working...
