Console commands don't work

Hello, I need help. I can't get any further in the game. How do I use the console commands correctly? I found some instructions on the internet. However, if I do it exactly according to the instructions, it has no effect whatsoever. No matter what I try, nothing happens. I would be grateful for tips. In the start options I have already activated the command "-devmode" and the console can also be opened.

What are you having trouble with. It works fine. For example, money WH_cheat_money 10000

wh_cheat_addItem is without function for me. Nothing spawns in my inventory no matter what id I enter. I'm standing in front of four bandits and I'm absolutely powerless. I wanted to spawn an intact garment and a sword, which is a little better than the hunting sword. But it just doesn't work out and I can't get any further. It's just way too hard. I have no experience with games of this kind and am therefore quickly overwhelmed.

Are you just typing it in or are you actually typing it into the console?

Can be a bit confusing for the first time on a German layout but the button to actually open the console is the one directly under escape, left of 1 - it's like that for pretty much every game.

Oh and, you won't be able to wield a proper sword until you buffed up your stats anyway - besides that you aren't supposed to fight 4 bandits early on...

Yes, I open the console with the key under ESC

For example:
I type it exactly like this:
wh_cheat_money 1

I did this to check if something works perfectly. But it just doesn't work.
wh_cheat_money "1" and wh_cheat_money (1) also don´t work.

I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong

Never used console commands in KCD but those guides you often get use () and "" as placeholders

Try wh_cheat_money 1

Oh, nevermind - just googled it a bit - your problem lies within the lack of the mod that actually takes those commands

Besides that this was for KCD1

I have now re-commanded _? and now the commands seem to work partially. Thanks for the help

I typed in "_?" and then it worked. But now it doesn't work again. Only some things work. Unfortunately, most of the commands I found on the Internet don't work
