Best way to level craftsman?

Late game there's a perk that gives you xp by getting others to repair your gear. You could tax a Henry Fox potion and get them to repair the junk you've collected (or repair it yourself with kits, whatever).

Sharpen every weapon you can too. Its free and you make money on that weapons to sell =)

Nahh just play the game.. when you level to fast it is >> boorning game.. This perk for craft it is usefull

Basically I want to forge those one of a kind weapons but I want to wait until martins secret to do so to maximise their effectiveness.

From what I understand of the blacksmithing it isn't so much the skill level that effects the quality of the item but rather the item that is being made and how well you do in the minigame right? So if I reforge the axe from the lake it does not matter what level smithing I am it only matters what quality the item comes out and for the best item I need martins secret to get the 4th tier right?

I tried to test it out but realized I could make everything in one heating so far. Since the animations cause them all to take the same amount of time it seemed prudent to make more complex items for now. Maybe later on the XP scales differently as the hammering for a horse shoe or axe is more difficult than swords, and if things do actually require multiple heatings or not.

repair and fix your things. it really helps
also make swords and axes they give you strength and crafting
sharpen and dull and again again is also not bad idea

fastest way is to dull and resharpen blades as others have said.
you can get 2 perks plus the xp pot to make this very very fast.

Yeah, I am too late to get the Master quality for the first axe until I've figured that you can get Master Quality for it. But that axe is not the strongest. So no big deal, the rest I can get it into Master Quality unless story scripted or locked at level 3 quality.

Update:
I'd say, save the game first before forged the lake axe, so if not lv16 Master Quality, you can reload.

Repair, especially since things you repair are worth more money so you fundamentally get a net value in groschen by leveling craftsman through repairing loot.

buy repair kits and just repair all clothes and equipment even if it's 1% damaged. Sharpen and repair everything you come across. Use the fox potion for 50% xp bonus on everything
