Demons of Trosky bug

Hello,

I want to report an awful bug. Basically, I searched for 3.5 hours looking for the 5th fireplace to end the quest. I realized during this there was 2 doors that would not open, I figured they were just decoration doors. I decided to turn on developer mode and move my coordinates into the door after almost turning off the game forever. I had no option to open (like it was a wall) and I found the last fireplace I was looking for the whole time. I was so mad I was wasting hours trying to find this fireplace so I could continue the damn game.

Was the command that got me pass the door. I'm just posting this in case anyone else comes across this problem. I don't think it could have been completed any other way. I even tried to close and restart the game. Something was ruined to not allow me in that door.

I just realized a few others reported this same bug, and it looks like they had the exact same solution with basically the same coordinates. haha

Not really a bug, these doors get blocked at a certain main quest stage (just before leaving the castle, to prepare for the feast) and the game doesn't warn you about it.
Basically you get a very small window to complete that quest, it fails after leaving the castle

yes this game is overly scripted and under tested. It's biggest problems are self inflicted, not the external political crap. This won't be the last quest you encounter that is on an invisible timer/trigger that is not communicated anywhere

And to get back, I used "goto 2444.75, 2619.9, 218.94"

I did wonder if this could be intentional, and that the intention might be to offer chance to resolve the quest while attending the feast in the evening during the "For Victory" quest, however once Henry attends the feast, the Demons of Trosky quest fails, unfortunately

Worth mentioning though, that Henry can wind up Capon by talking to him about the demons quest, so if it had been intentional, that would be quite amusing

I am not going to activate console commands and give up on 100%. I hope they make this quest available for us later. As of right now we are locked out.

Just so you know, it hasn't stopped me from getting achievements.

No idea, but I heard specific quests were "fixed." I don't know if it's this one. And just to repeat, since I saw someones comment, you still get achievements. I haven't had any problems, in fact, I haven't left game dev mode even. BUT, just in case, maybe keep a save file clean before you try it.

EDIT: Maybe it was the tens of hours I put into the dice game that bugged my game out. 😂
