Good Old Pebbles perk

So i want to get the said perk. However, i've sold Pebbles once. I know i can get her back, but does the distance ridden with Pebbles reset to zero?

It appears not. Funny story actually.

I've sold Pebbles for Tarant as soon as I could afford it since I wasn't encouraged by the people's insults about it being a "nag". Then I read online that Pebbles and Herring are the best horses after secret perks so I went back and repurchased it after the wedding but I haven't acquired the perk yet, even before.

I then put Pebbles on afk Trotsky Castle route to circle around it endlessly and get the perk. I hopped on Google to find a question since after doing some calculous, it seemed that I need a bit more than 2 hours of afk circling around trosky if the perk resets.

And as I was reading your question, I've noticed that Pebbles normal running got considerably faster just a couple minutes in afk, which answered the question right away.
