2. The annoyance you are facing can actually be abused to easily win bow tournament master. Just aim the bullseye with the dot and when the tournament starts Henry will shoot directly at it all the time.
Personally the first bow I came across (ashen bow? I forget) behaved like that but having played the game further I found other bows and they work as intended.
This is speculative atm if it is a bug and what exactly causes it. as my stats increased too when time passed. Anyway, the first bow stated needing 5/5 stats, iirc had 7/6 at the time and I was unable to use the bow (immediate shot).
You could also try buff potions Aremisia and Embrocation to see if it's a stats problem.
Your probably using a bow you don't meet the minimum stats for.
The bandits etc sprint at you.
You guessed it. Takes too long to switch weapons.
Plus the auto lock system is annoying and the swap targets is janky. It seems enemies can master strike with other weapons due to the red broken shield.
Games more frustrating than fun at times
Also keep in mind there may be a bug with the skill that reduces needed strength to equip weapons.
Whether by bug or design, it appears that to draw a bow you need to meet the original strength requirement of the bow.
I noticed this with the yew wood longbow, that has a strength requirement of 7. When I got strength to 6 I got the perk that reduced the requirement by 2, and it showed the requirement as only 5 on the weapon. However, I was not able to actually draw and aim until my strength reached 7.
So the -2 to strength requirement, does not apply to bow draw itself. If your having trouble with any bows, and think "wait a minute, I meet the requirement", keep in mind that the -2 to strength requirement may not be getting applied.
Nope, bow is just as Op as KCD1
At least when you're playing by yourself, you can hit & run a whole 40 enemies group pretty easily, moreso if you're good at hiding, you can literally take 10 steps and they loose you so you can shoot again.
It's actually a bit too overpowered that I avoid using bows most of the time ^^
