Otter's Treasure (maybe spoilers)

Whoever placed this "treasure", you should get a demotion.

The ledge where it lies is not accessible via falling/jumping down from the cliff. If you are meant to jump or drop down to it, good luck and enjoy the broken/bleeding legs and multiple trips to the nearby bathhouse to recover.

If the player is meant to shoot the pot then pick up the fragment that flew off, there are bushes everywhere making it nigh impossible to find. The physics of the shot can sent the fragments incredibly far (This is ONLY if shooting the clay jar is the intent of the dev that placed this treasure there.)
Same goes for nests when they are shot, they should have more weight to to them so they basically fall straight down, upon landing on the ground zero physics are applied, they then stick to the ground. As it is now, if they fall on an incline, GOOD LUCK finding it.

Never was able to recover the "treasure" as after I shot the clay pot the game must have registered it as empty and it seems the lower half of the shot clay pot is now gone. I hope there wasn't much groshen in it...

Fix: move the treasure to on TOP of the cliff or at the bottom near the stream where the player can simply walk up and interact with it.

The pot is placed on the horrible spot, I did shoot it and well, forget about finding it's content so I simply walked away.

have not got to that point yet myself. so...............there is a perk for reduced fall damage i think...........so would that make the quest do-able ?

Naw, you'll see when you get there. The clay jar would be an easily land-able without taking fall damage (perk or not) spot from the top of the cliff, the problem is, the cliff juts out over where you would need to land. Since the jumping is incredibly wonky in this game, you would have to go around the south side of the rock, I tried multiple times doing this and never was able to make it up to the clay jar. There is zero chance from the north side of the rock.

Note: I have the reduced fall dmg perk. Sometimes you will tap a piece of geometry on the way down and that will "break" your fall, thus taking zero damage. Other times you don't tap it and you take the fall damage which typically bleeds both your legs and damages your HP.

shoot it with a rock, bow or crossbow. The gold bag floats on the water, and you can easily see it fall down and track where it landed.

The game has tons of nests in tree as training of sort... You get used to shoot and follow the nest falling so you always get the loot.

It's this training that has to come into practice here, had no problem getting that loot with a rock throw and watching the very flashy yellow bag falling down.

Nope, as I described, it was not an easy find. It went as far as I could tell into some nearby shrubs and was impossible to find. I scanned for quite a while too...

I've made the point we shouldn't have to chase nests around because of the game physics. The nests should be given weight after expelled from a limb so they stick where they land. Period.

Well, I've just shot the jar with strongest crossbow (the only I had in my inventory atm) and, well, I dunno where's loot now, it went away like a cannonball and disappeared somewhere in the forest. Came here to ask what was in this "treasure", just out of curiosity, since I don't want to load game and make whole travel again...

Shot it and picked up. It did not behave like those sliding and rolling birds nests. This one just falls straight down.

I just got to otters treasure and from googling where its location was i came across this discussion and I gotta say;
If you saw that and your first thought wasn't "I should try to knock that down" then I don't know what to tell you.

Save first and hit it with a rock; sometimes a bag falls straight down and sometimes it goes flying across the stream. In the water it may go crazy flipping all over the place.

Shot the pot and the treasure stayed on the ledge, shooting the bag on the ledge does nothing, so might want to save if it's important to you.
