Opus Magnum quest miller book bug

I got the book shortly before the feast in Trosky Castle and since the dialogue text told me the only quest that would not be possible to complete after the feast was the demons one, I postponed it till I could return from the new region to the first region.

When I returned I discovered that the book had disappeared from my inventory and I didn't have the option to give it to the miller even though the quest details said I had it.

Thankfully I went back to the place where I found it initially and it had re-spawned so I was able to continue the quest line.
