can you win the first dice game at the start of the game?

i tried yesterday and today, combined probably around 50 times because just now today I am on my 42 attempt

You mean when you camp at the pond with Oats and the gang? Yes, you can win that. I think there is a weighted dice in the cave behind the dice guy (forget his name).

I think I won it on my 3rd try. I would recommend looking back over the dice game instructions as I did not fully understand how it works initially.
