Bad guys. Keep an eye out for Opatowitz mead. Heals for 25hp and gives 5 nutrition. Found around 40 bottles in a brewery building and a hidden grave near it.

Thank you for the info about the mead and the hidden grave! It was very hidden, but fittingly placed near the beehives (mead is made from honey!). I now have convenient stacks of the best mead in the game! Enjoyed best while drinking good mead IRL, from Brittany.
I *think* depending on the point in the main story that the enemies there start out as a checkpoint/patrol for sigismund and his camp but after the end game I think they swap out to being bandits

A nearby gamekeeper will tell you details on them (I believe he gets marked as POI tipster).
Regardless of your choice to continue supporting one king or swtch sides to another, there is zero reason to spare any of them.
This post reminds me I have to go back and finish these guys off. I finished like half of em that were apparently outside patrolling and then went sprinting through and woke up the rest I didn't realize was there lmao

I havent touched that area yet thanks for the tips guys!
Just to add that I'm not happy with no quest going to that area.
Cleaning it from hostiles should have been the main quest after reaching Kutenberg - one of Devil's 7 should have been there.
Then there wouldn't be numerous "game's easy" threads.

It's a a repeatable farm for equipment and experience, just like the high-quality enemies in KcD 1 near Skalitz appeared again and again and again: )

I cleared Opatovitz already 3-4 times:))

So, there is a finite number of enemies in the camp? I assume these enemies respawn after a while similar to bandit camps?

I thought it is an infinite spawn point as I killed 6 or 7 and more kept coming.

There is about 8-10 in the camp. They respawn very fast after leaving the town. They are directly Sigismund soldiers though so they're not mercenaries, bandits, or cumans.

There is a secret chest in one of the burnt down houses close to the fast travel point that has a schematic for Ataman's Sabre.

The quantity of this Opatowitz Mead can be related to the mysterious npc asking for the meaning of life and he accepts only alcohol drinks... The number 42 is related to the meaning of life and we find arround 40 of this unique item here. Don't know if I can find him in Kuttenberg or go back to Trosky to find him again. I don't recommend using this item until people find out what this npc really wants.
In the building where the bottles of mead are located there is also a book/recipe on how to brew Opatowitz Mead although I think some of the ingredients are rare and hard to find.
