People will do and say anything when they themselves are miserable.
That's cause Microsoft pays actual officers to police the forums on their games.
Also I dont think there are many people caring for Avowed.. imho it doesnt really look great.. no rpg.. more lke some generic action adventure.
The only 2 games I liked from them are fallout new vegas and grounded. Not really that impressed with the current obsidian.
Personally I think it is because most of the people simply didn't buy or try that game in first place.
Because it was very obvious how it's gonna turn out. Whereas in this one it was not so clear. In fact I thought the people must be a little bit on crack because I wasn't bothered by much of anything 40 hours into the game in terms of "woke" elements.
Little did I know.
I think a lot of people romanticized too much Warhorse Studio. The kickstarter campaign, the artistic freedom... People loved and forgived their buggy and janky product because it gave them hope for the entire industry. Now they are just another corporate shill hold by the balls by the Embracer Group this time.
The brutal trolling is some sort of bizarre eulogy...
