i became a thief
got all the way to kuttenberg trying to be the best honourable henry i could be, had 1000 groschen to my name.

1000g doesnt get you far, and i needed new gear. so i went against my morals, got on my black gear, and raided some armourys in the dead of nightt- successfully!

now i have a good set of armour, and i plan to sell the rest back to my victims when they lose the stolen status.

feelsgoodman, money ill make from selling stolen goods doesnt even need to be spent on new gear because well.... i already stole a set

i liked this new (to me) way of playing, it was fun, it was tense, it was risky but the reward was satifying!

so what im saying is... give in!!!! indulge in your criminal desires just dont get caught and dont tell them i put you up to this

Nice guys finish last.
You could have made money an honorable way, blacksmithing, alchemy, hunting, etc

good point, and funny enough actually in that same play session i realised the value of 'henry' quality potions and 'martin' quality weapons- and while these can be decent little earners i would still be behind in terms of what material possessions i could aquire compared to being somewhat kleptomaniacal hehe

but hunting- i havent really dabbled in, but i was under the impression that this is a frowned upon thing withing the kcd universe, as henry is but a lowly peasant a not a noble, or am i wrong there?

either way im sure ill pick up a nice bow and some arrows and give it a go at some point.

The money I get from higher level bandits and crafting is already more than I need, no need for stealing.(I "emptied" Trotzky Castle though, that was fun^^)
I find it really hard to find good traders that have enough budget to take in all of the stuff I have. I always run around with a fully loaded horse because with most trades/blacksmith/whatever I can only sell one or two parts before they are broke.
Also it seems that trader budget is not increasing anymore like in KCD I...

So, if I would start stealing now as well, I would not know where to sell all that stuff without waiting for days in between.

yes, the traders budgets are a tad annoying, but there are so many vendors in kuttenburg that can offset this inconvenience.

go on, give in, don your up to no good garb and dew it!

Well...I am currently in Sigismund's army camp, so at least I would not feel too bad about it :D

These people are, by action or inaction, supporting the enemy king, and therefore what you're doing isn't called stealing. Think of it more like independent and improvised resource management in support of the greater cause, behind enemy lines. Now, if this is something your victim might say, they're probably the type of person who deserves to be stolen from.

One of the things I really like about KCD2 is that things aren't quite as black-and-white as they were in KCD1, where it was basically just "cumans bad". This leaves room for a lot more roleplay. And creative moralism.

Game says I stole some items except UI said "pick" It was some honey in the wild maybe. But I never had an item with the stolen sign and nobody chased me, criminal stats Is super bugged.
I was even supposed to be naked in the tutorial because I didn't looted the bandits that attacked the Hans and the herbalist....strangely Henry summoned a gambeson from nowhere and wasn't naked when knocking to the Castle's gate.

Clothing in cutscenes seems to be a little inconsistent, there are many more examples of this but I won't spoil anything. However, the fact that criminal stats are a little fuzzy honestly makes things a little more interesting. This isn't a game where you want to minmax or be a purist. If some random peasant gets a bad impression of you because you picked a random flower he had his eye on, so what? I tried selling some goods I had, eh, aquired some place else and despite the icon being greyed out they somehow "suspected" it was stolen. Didn't call a guard or anything, but wanted me to knock down the price. And now they thought they could both act as a fence and be morally superior at the same time? No deal. So I went to the trader next door instead. Roleplay.
