not really
bg3 is 99% fantasy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with very little to do with the real world
kcd2 intentionally takes real world places, events and people and misrepresents them in a neoliberal progressive way, its far more damaging
I would say 'woke' is a broad stroke type of word for sure, definately isn't super precise, but good enough that it point in the right direction as to what I'm talking about.
Okay, personally I don't find the 'it's fantasy' being an excuse, and again, I like BG3 (just felt some elements that I consider 'woke' pulled the game down, making it less shiny than I would've liked) but I get your point, your expectation is higher from a game which is supposed to be much more based on reality, so the flaws are even more visible when they come to light.
To be honest, If I except that ONE very out of place and out of line answer that the player is at some point allowed pick (with a clear Icon attached to it, that made it even more out of place) and some strange choice of NPC /NPC background in the second part of the game, I would say KCD was pretty much impeccable compared to the other game I mentioned.
All three of them would be infinitely better if the developers had focused on making the game and story good instead of focusing on injecting a bunch of woke nonsense. For example, genitalia options in Cyberpunk are nothing but a complete and total waste of developer time and resources.
It would actually be a significant challenge for a developer to make a game that is more woke than those three games.
I consider the most woke element of KCD2 that I've seen so far is the immersion destroying option of having Henry act completely against his character to befriend the evil, violent, invading, cuman rapists who destroyed his home.
They did this solely to push the woke ideology that violent criminals are actually victims who should never face consequences for committing acts of violence.
Hence why a super violent criminal can get arrested 42 times (including one where he assaults an 80 year old woman and breaks her eye socket) and is subsequently released 42 times because "he is a victim"
Hence why a criminal can try to pass a counterfeit bill, get caught, swallow their fentanyl in an attempt to hide it from the police, die from a fentanyl overdose, and then be celebrated by the woke cult as some sort of great heroic figure.
Okay, what I liked about BG3 was what I call the miniatures, the battles, I usually saved before particular encounter and had fun in the combats, trying various way to win, and sometimes out of curiosity various way to lose.
For me the fun of that game was the city of Baldur's gate, the realtive freedom to do what you want, and the combats. As I see you really put a strong emphasis on the negatives and clearly didn't seems to have had a great experience.
You don't seems to find any redeeming qualities in the game, and I did, that's the main difference in the end.
Now just out of curiosity what is your opinion on Cyberpunk 2077 if you have played (if possible with the DLC) ? and of KCD2
You're not a victim of society, relax.
TLOU2 maybe (I never played it, but from what I've seen of extended review on YT, that's not too much of a stretch, BG3 and Cyberpunk, clearly have woke elements (most of them easy to bypass and/or left behind if you so chose though) But again, redeeming qualities (as video games) for me outweight the woke elements in both of these games, enough that I managed to enjoy them greatly, cyberpunk in particular.
I love the cyberpunk genre a lot, but that game doesn't send cyberpunk vibes...
Here, this is a cyberpunk game I had a lot of fun with. It's amazing it was developed by such a small studio, I could watch the world for hours.

I won't be playing Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
It's more damaging the more woke ♥♥♥♥ there is. Doesn't matter if it's fantasy or not
The Ascent seems fun, but more of a Diablo style in cyberpunk. As for cyberpunk 2077 crashing, probably it would work now, unless your PC is old as dirt, I mean lately I even tested the PS4 version and it was okay (knowing that PS4 / Xbox One version used to be barely playable at the start, and even pulled out of stores) and If you do try cyberpunk 2077 again, make yourself a favor and put Phantom Liberty DLC in the mix too.
