My game progress is gone
There's no load game option, only start a new game. What do I do? I'm 60hrs in. I'm loving the game but don't plan on starting over. Please help me.

Are you playing on PC? Have you checked your game save folder? Under playline.

I am playing on PC (steam).

There are a bunch of files inside the cloud folder: program files/steamapps/steam/common/kingdomcomedeliverance2/logbackups

There is a single file at: c/user/username/saved games/kingdomecome2/saves
named: steam_autocloud.vdf
Honestly, sounds like cloud saving gone haywire. You shouldn't rely on the cloud even if it is newer, newer isn't always better.

There were issues where if you start a new game, the old game gets overridden.

I don't understand what I did wrong, I didn't change any of the default settings.
I don't think you did anything wrong at all. It's just that cloud saves are not very reliable right now.

I would try to restart the game and see if any saves show up. Or check the cloud saves folder for any save files.

Just happened to me! 35hrs gone! Hopefully they show back up.
My cloud save file is gone!
Only logbackups file is left
Go to the discord server and ask for help there, thats where the game support is.
Go to the Official Steamcloud site and look for your save data.

The site is pretty cool and also interesting because you can find a lot of saves from previous games there.

If it doesn't load straight away, just reload it (F5) or use it in your browser.
You can then also download older saves there.

It's not newer, cloud saves have been around for years, and for that matter, so have servers and regular back-ups of files. Issues like this is why places that can afford it have redundancy through multiple copies, but that's more common for large enterprise solutions. Still, if you value your data and have the means it doesn't hurt set that up for yourself.
You did nothing wrong. This happened to me with few games and since then I have disabled cloud. Yes, it´s nice to have this feature, but it corrupted a lot of saves. I rather save them manually and local.

Where do you put the save file? Tried to put it in users - saved games etc, but it didn't show up ingame.
