I've beat it in under 20 hours and sadly Im not impressed with content.
It took me over 60 hours to finish the first map. Did you skip all sidequests!? Could it be why you're not impressed with the content?
Anyway, my advice to new joiners is to practice unarmed combat, lockpicking, and pickpocketing at the miller. Pickpocket and steal everything you need at the start of the game. Money is tight. Also: explore. There's a lot of great loot hidden, that doesn't cost any money to get, and hardly any combat.
You barely played the game then. So I don't think your opinion is worth much.
