Is the wedding sword tournament bugged?
I have to hit my opponent 10+ times to win, but they beat me with one hit. True, I am in my nicest clothes and not wearing armour, but so are they, and we're using wooden practice swords. Are the damage numbers bugged or something?

Just got to the wedding myself - had to land 4 Master Strikes on the first opponent to win.

Kinda tanky, considering he has no armour on.

I disagree, and the example you're quoting is literally a person leveling something else much higher at the expense of sword fighting...

I had no problems with other two. I could've won the first one too, I just got sloppy. One mistake.

Didn't want to reload to get a necklace vs ring.
Yep it seems like you have to hit them more often than they have to hit you to win which is a bit unfair.

Last opponent, the groom, is definitely tough as the lack of armor means you might get knocked down in single combo, 1 or 2 hits. I had to hit him twice with master strike and pull one combo off as well. Your best bet here is to not attack at all and just focus on master strikes. Trying to attack normally will most likely get your killed/defeated.

Why did you get him the last? He was the first opponent for me. Does it depend on the phase of the wedding you do your first fight?
IDK, I fought the groom Olda, then the bailiff's son, then Lord Semine.

Have neither of you tried this tournament? You just get completely owned from one or two hits. If anything I am overlevelled for this quest.

Over-levelled but under-skilled. You shouldn't be getting hit at all in 1v1 duels.

I haven't played the game, but the wedding is it between two men? Is it a gay marriage?

Same.

No. Groom rides into sunset. Henry takes the bride to a cellar to "console" her (wink-wink) and gets cockblocked by his nemesis (really hoping I get a chance to kick his ass later).

It took me about 30 tries to beat the garrison commander. It seems like the enemy's weapon stat is that of a real sword since it can cause bleeding and the damage seems high for a wooden sword. This was probably me least favorite side activity so far but it's also one of the few events in the game I didn't like.

Yes, I have Master Strike. Yes, I used it in the duels. It wasn't enough to win outright.
The problem is if I make a single mistake, and take any kind of damage, the fight is over, even with a lot of stamina.
My prime example was that I was fighting the same guy with real weapons, and when using real weapons he was not a threat, as my stamina tanked the hits. And while I was wearing armour, it was very poor armour.

Like i said, the duel could be using a special wooden sword the game has that actually does normal damage; Higher than many steel swords.

But that doesn't mean it's overly difficult or overtuned: Some people like me found it easy.

Rather, you should think of it like this: It's intended to be difficult, hence why you can't be taking much damage. Not every person necessarily wins every single duel in the game: That'd be boring.

Even at like level 25-ish i've lost a duel, and i didn't think it was because the fight is too difficult: It was without armor and was over in 1-2 hits as well. I merely made a mistake: In this case expecting to be able to rely on a master strike against a duelist who knew exactly how to counter it.

Either way: Just because it's difficult doesn't mean it's too difficult. And that particular fight was intended to be difficult: But it's not if you're much higher level than 12 in strength and sword fighting and you know what you're doing. So it's all relative.

Also, master strikes aren't an automatic i win button: You can keep a fight on indefinitely and win without issue using it but it doesn't automatically instakill anything. It's not supposed to. But if you keep doing it to people who don't know how to counter it, they won't get a shot at you; And you get a shot at them. And you'll whittle them down.

TLDR: This game is a bit less gamey: Things that work in real life work best in it, rather than normal gameplay-loops of games where you're technically abusing a bunch of systems.

So, like in real life sword duels: You aren't actually supposed to be hit: Many were to first blood. So if you lose by getting hit, the solution is to do less mistakes.

And the tone of the duel is already sort of "if you do mistakes, then you're not really a master duelist."

The logic doesn't follow, since if the winner of the tournament is an NPC, he got smacked in the head with Master Strikes from Henry five times in a row, but then got in a lucky hit and took all of henry's health with a standard attack. So he only won because he can tank five Master Strikes, and because Henry can't tank a single standard hit.

The new Zbyshek!
But, to be fair... Henry cockblocked Vuytek when he was trying to get under the skirts of Myshka with his lame poem.
Will there be a part 2 with Myshka by the way?

Well, certain main quest event will make that impossible.

BTW, what is chamberlain's fetish that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ refused to do it. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ are OK with anal, strap-on sodomy, sex with hermaphrodites. But this is something much worse.

Coprophilia may be? Considering chamberlain's stomach problems.

Well that's the problem because they literally one shot you IF they manage to land a hit. Which shouldn't be the case with wooden swords no matter how underleveled are you.
Them in my case took 3-7 hits, their hp bar goes down very slowly but they give up earlier, pretty much normal as with any other wooden weapon duel
