KCD1 vs KCD2
I don't want to stir up an argument. However, I read statements that make my hair stand on end. There are people here who praise the first part, which is fine, but they make such exaggerated claims that I can't go by without saying a word. One is typical, "the fight was much better". Well, it was different, but I don't think it was better. This seems much more fluid. In the first one, the fight is too difficult at the beginning, it is hard to feel, but with the perks and high skill points, the challenge was lost, it became too easy. Complex combos required 4 moves - in the early game the opponent was almost always blocked the combos, but after you getting stronger, he died after 3 hits. Even the peasant roadblocks and bandits made a mastertrike (wtf), Which was also typical of the other opponents, so the fight, despite the opportunities, was mostly exhausted by simple but effective moves. I think most people who would start KCD1 after such statements, hoping that they will have even more fun, will be disappointed, certainly in the battles, at least at first. And a lot of people left the game anno, precisely because of the fight. And especially if you want to play with a mouse, it will be annoying and difficult (and too easy after a while, if he is very patient).
But my favorite is when they talk about how bug-free KCD1 was. Someone claims that he played with it from the first day.... lol, this was the moment when it became obvious thats he lying or his memory is so bad. Because, compared to KCD1, Cyberpunk 1.0 is a bug-free technical marvel. And that's not an exaggeration. In addition, the debugging was also very bad, the game often became unplayable in the first six months. In fact, after each patch it seemed to get worse. As soon as a patch came out that fixed 5 bugs, we got 15 new ones instead. Those who were there can remember. It happened that after the repair, the random encounters of fast travel disappeared. Then all the npc's disappeared. Only the characters of the main quest and the shopkeepers remained. All other npc's, bystanders, residents, etc. are gone. And this went on for at least half a year. It's a miracle that the game didn't fail. Fortunately, the situation started to improve after that, and as the game got better, more and more people bought it. But it was not at all so clear at the beginning. Just one question about the woke thing: the game was released at 5:05 p.m., and at 5:05 p.m. the chat was full of crying crowds demanding their money back. wtf? I have barely 30 hours in the game, but I haven't seen anything woke, the atmosphere reminds one of the first part, only better. If this Hans thing is so bad (if it is, I have not met with this quest yet) - ok, but how can they criticize something they haven't even played with for 10 minutes?
In summary, based on the first part, I am sure that it will be much better. There will be mods, and Warhorse will also improve countless things. I understand, time beautifies memories, we remember the good, the bad less, etc. But it's unnecessary to praise the first part to the skies, because it's just different, but not better at all. Of course, subjectively, we can prefer one or the other, but objectively, the second one is much better, the atmosphere is the same, but the possibilities are exponentially higher. I say this as who pre-ordered the first part, followed the development diaries for years, and unlike many bigots, I actually played it from the first day and spent about 600 hours with Henry. Keep hungry guys, and praise the Lord! Peace!

Combat was better because it was more in-depth, had more option etc. KCD2 seams like it has more options but unfortunately they removed master strikes from maces/axes and polearms, while getting a skill tree, doesn't get them either. This game over rewards for swords and punishes you for anything else. It's hard to argue that the combat in KCD2 is an improvement when they actually removed things from 1 instead of fixing or changing them.
Removing master strikes from all but 1 weapon type is less. Removing 2-3 combat directions is less. Removing a whole attack button is less. No matter how you i try and look at it, they dumbed it down and that's it. No real improvement. It's easier, not better.

Edit:
Oh, and i absolutely played KCD1 day one and encountered exactly 1 bug. It had to do with the huntsman quest to collect the birds, not even gamebreaking. I've encountered far more bugs in KCD2 than one, albeit non of them gamebreaking either.
