For Whom the Bell Tolls (No Crimes)
Does anyone know if it is possible to complete this mission without committing any crimes? I beat the first game without lockpicking, pickpocketing, or looting corpses among other things, and I was hoping it was possible to beat this one the same way, but I am stuck on this mission.

Talk to the Chamberlain in the kitchen and help him with his pain. Ask him if you can go to the chapel and pray for him.

It is possible. You will have to brew the potion yourself, so you will have to collect plants beforehand etc.

I don't have any problem reaching Thomas without committing a crime, but I can't seem to get the fever potion required without stealing, or lockpicking.
Explore and do all the quests. With everything done properly you will have access to most of the castle. (if you cant find them.. look for a guide in the internet)

Or you can just run to the objectives and talk your way out of it if the guard catches you.

The last part of the quest however is pretty much impossible without lockpicking unless you can get the herbs elsewhere.

I found feverfew in the outer bailey, but the ginger and elderberry are both in locked chests.
Remember to get some charcoal at the blacksmith before making the potions, I had to run back and fourth between the tower and alchemy bench, lol.

Like the others said, help the blacksmith, cook and then cure the chamberlain for his stomach ache. Then you can get into the chapel without resorting to crime.

There is a book in the alchemy room you can read to get the formula. There should be open chest where the herbs are.

But once I'm in the chapel, how am I to cure Thomas? The only ingredients I've found have to be stole or are in locked chests.

I didn't realize it was open, I thought it was locked.

I was too stupid to be able to lockpick at the time, but right behind you if you stand near the alchemy bench, there is a open chest full of herbs.

Tbh I also thought the chest was locked. Well then.. that should be settled.

Ginger you can take while helping the cook, so not really a crime, but elderberry, yes, you have to "steal". So you are right, you can't do the quest without committing crimes. Unless the alchemy room chest has elderberry too.

I'm 99% sure it does, I didn't steal or lockpick anything to get everything I needed. Since my lockpicking and thievery was way too low.

It does require to be picked, but it is very easy.

The chest has it, but it is locked with a very easy lock.

My bad, I thought it only was the cook's chest that was very easy. I helped her since it wasn't a crime per say.
