KCD1 is honestly better on almost every level. I'm still on the first map of KCD2 and its so empty, and boring.

This must be a joke. KCD2 is an improvement in every single way. I don’t understand you guys. I guess some people just always have to be on the opposing side of things that are popular. This is the first open world that I’ve ever just wanted to live inside of.

It sounds like you guys just want assassin’s creed style litter all over the map and don’t understand that this game is going for realism. In the first 30 minutes I spend in the open world, I had 5 or so terrific and unexpected encounters, from people and from animals. Not to mention the incredible locations, atmosphere and audio. It’s as if you’re actually inside of the game with headphones on.

KCD2 is better in gameplay alone.
There’s far more polish and less bugs as would be expected by such a large sequel.

The writing, character presentation and representation
And tone, among other aspects are notably different.

Different and much better, in my and most others’ opinions. I’ve been gaming since the 90s and the only comparable open worlds are KCD1, Witcher 3 and Skyrim with mods. I’d say Oblivion, Fallout 3 and NV, but those just aren’t quite up to the same level.

Yes you won't understand if you're not used to look deeper than just at how it looks and sounds.
KCD1 is better, but KCD2 is great too

Just my opinion. I never said KCD2 is bad, and I haven't finished it yet, looks like it gets buggier. And may be game opens up later. I spent around 60 hrs in chapter1 (before the wedding) because I like free roaming "sidequests/activities" play more than story quests railroading.

I played KCD1 three times: release, hardcore and full DLCs hardcore. I think KCD1, while released in a rough state, came to its own later with DLCs and has more complex game mechanics and overall better "immersion".

KCD1 is a lighting in a bottle game that I doubt would be replicated.
If it had the polish and budget KCD2 has it would be a pure masterpiece.
I've recently re finished kcd1 in waiting for kcd2 and this one is much better.
while the first one was a masterpiece.

it has everything going for it, better combat, smooth, better engine, better larger story.
more complicated stuff, very diverse quests, etc etc etc

if you RP this story is wonderful , like a second novel of a book series you love.
if you play this on statistics, like a first person shooter, you probably won't get much out of it since the value is in the story.
literally the RP in RPG.

i've very much enjoyed it.
will i take a small break , then come back and finish all the side quests i've skipped, fo' damn sure.
9.5/10 with 10/10 legendary if DLCs are good.
incredibly good base to build stories on.

you can narrate this ♥♥♥♥ is so cinematic.

Simple. Passioned people with clear vision. 10/10 for me. It’s up there with Red Dead Redemption II

Try KCD1 - it's way better.
Hard disagree. The fighting system in 1 feels clunky as hell compared to 2, the introduction is not as thrilling as KCD2, and the story in general is worse than KCD2. Also, the world setting, forests, world-building—literally EVERYTHING—is better in KCD2. Let alone, KCD2's launch-day state was miles better polished than KCD1 even after all of its updates to this day, lmfao.

To each their own. They’re both great games. I find KCD2 more immersive, but it sounds like we find the games immersive for different reasons. I suppose that’s because we enjoy different things in different ways.

First game allows a lot more agency in quests and gameplay. KCD2 you're mostly on rails

I changed my opinion. Kuttenberg map and amount of content is just massive. Latest Nvidia drivers have updated AI profile and visuals are just amazing.
