Tier4 Dueling Longsword

Is it even possible to craft a tier 4 version of the dueling longsword?

Yup , as long as you have a skill in crafting.
Also Henry quest sword is still better ; or just use war hammers to open metal cans.
Or use what ever you like , its a big plus of the game - as long as you have irl skill and understand game basis you can play whatever.

You can play short sword assassin , using poisons and just raining hits after perfect dodging, etc. You can even play full unarmed building and just Mike Tyson the f out of enemies or draw them in clinch and choke them from the clinch.

Ehmm, I've been doing this since the start, and un-armed becomes very strong. And it's hella fun.

i have the perk and i even have used the quickfinger potion and i have the perk that if im drunk i have a plus four

Found on Reddit. Craft the guild longsword with 0 mistakes, it will be tier 3. Save the game. Craft a random sword (mine was tier 4, others have said their random was tier 3. Try for 4 imo). Load the save after the guild longsword creation. Craft random sword again. Guild longsword SHOULD be tier 4 now. Not sure why but that worked for me and others

i figured it out. there is actually a bug that shows you made a tier 3 but if you go into your inventory and look at it it is actually a tier 4

Look, I have crafting skill of 30. I made dozens of highest quality weapons, but this cursed (bugged) sword had me swearing for hour. Thank you, goodman, for re-posting this solution here. This one really helped to finally forge it to T4.

Oh my god.. was looking for anyone dealing with that. I did exactly what Pasha wrote - crafter perfectly Guild Sword III, then saved and crafter another random IV tier sword, I loaded back save after smithing Guild Sword III and it's tier IV. Thank you so much!

I've made at least 4 of them.
Took 2 tries to get the level 4 and even then it said it was level 3 until I checked the stats and it had the mastercraft symbol.
The next one I made had the mastercraft symbol but after opening it had level 3 stats and symbol. Bugged yeah, but you can craft it and it's not that hard

dont bother, your dad's sword reforged beats out everything else, there's valentine's sword which is also the best for 1 handed sword.

why are you guys obsessed with whether or not you can make a tier 4 sword? You do insane amounts of damage late game. You can 2-3 shot enemies in full plate armor.
Chill out. At least wait for hardcore when these things may actually matter.
I'm on my second play through and limiting myself to keep the combat balanced.
