impossible to find Goatskin

how to solve this bug ? Impossible to find him since the new patch. Please help

pretty sure the quest is broken since 1.2 and you have to wait for a patch

I found him with no issues.
He is hiding in one of the barns that's bit tricky to get to. There's no direct access to it, you have to go through back buildings and then go up a ladder to a barn

It’s bugged if you started mission before 1.2 but didn’t finish it when patch 1.2 dropped

Thats how I just did it, talking to the bath maids led me to his girlfriend telling me where he was

Exactly, if you started it after the 1.2 patch then maybe yea, I waited 2 days in the hidden barn place he never appears

I saw a youtube video for a temporary work around for goatskin quest until devs patch it in the future. The temporary fix according to the video was to have a new gameplay start at 1.2 version but after you get to 2nd map, immediately start the goatskin quest before you do any sidequests as this apparently may glitch him out of the barn or stop the npc merchant from moving for the optional bait.

I don't know how accurate this tip is but I do have 2 game save files before the 1.2 and I cant find him for crap among other bugs but my new 3rd game I created after 1.2 I was able to find him in the barn.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but starting a new save and another 20 hours is not a “work around”, also, the game doesn’t suffer from this bug when your patch is started in 1.2 as far as I’m aware

look I get it, this shouldn't happen from the get go but it is what it is
bugs and glitches are just that "problems" that we dont like as gamers I cant scientifically explain why it happens.

As for new game ya its wasted time for anybody that has limited time in their personal life but its kinda pros n cons of most games. When an update comes out usually theres bugs always has been kdc2 is no exception. The other thing to do if instead of not making a new game as I said earlier is just wait for the devs to hotfix patch or a more thorough update patch which could take a few days or weeks or months who knows.

I only suggested this tip for anybody thats anxious to complete the story as they want to enjoy more of it etc etc
