Leave no witnesses in Maleshov? (Spoilers)
After saving Hans from Maleshov, my reputation with the village drops to abysmal levels, and it impacts my reputation elsewhere.

I killed everyone except the woman you first meet at the top of the stairs. If I were to kill her too, would it help my reputation?

No. They aren’t living human but NPC, it’s just number and stats
Thanks.

From what I found out. Henry has 2 reputations in Maleshov, one for the townspeople, and one for the ones inside the fort which is enemy soldiers. I noticed even if you didn't attack anyone in the fort but knocked out everyone, you'll still receive a reputation impact.
Yes, indeed.

What I don't like about the reputation system in this game - other than that as @Henryl8115 says in his post about it just being about numbers - why should my reputation fall if I kill everyone in an area? No witnesses, no binoculars, it happens behind the walls of a castle etc.

Not as though I left a calling card. :p (Though maybe next time I'll spell out "Henry was here" with the weapons, across the courtyard.)

Yeah, unfortunately it’s pretty much just the limitation of being a game and not well thought out system. If they go for “your reputation will change when NPC travel to other region”, aside of performance problem, people will get confused when their reputation suddenly get to -100 out of nowhere cause they missed like 1 person in the village

I'm pretty sure the reputation hit is tied to the quest completion, I killed just a few von Bergov soldiers and my reputation still went from very positive to red face. However, later as you progress main story further and liberate Maleshov and capture von Bergov, the reputation went back to positive. I chose to save the peasants and did not let Devil to slaughter them.

Yes, I've just noticed that the villagers don't seem upset if you kidnap von Bergow after killing his men! But woe if you liberate Capon after killing Bergow's men. Kinda weird. :)
