Best "necessary evil" outcome in my opinion

I did all ways to finish necessary evil because I was very curious about it and I mean the game makes it seem like lying to bergow and don't do anything is the "best" way, it kinda doesen't feel like it to me.
From a Henry and RP standpoint it just doesen't make any sense to not tell bergow about it because even after that you can't do anything to talk to semine etc. about it.
For me the best way which feels most natural and also smartest is to tell bergow, go with the party and when bergows men want to kill everyone in semine just say no and fight against them.
This for me feels like by far the best way of the quest because you get most informations, didn't kill old semine but also didn't just do nothing, I wanna like the whole "lying is golden" achievment way but it feels weird to just do nothing against traitors and don't tell bergow about it.
So the mix between telling bergow but not let them slay everyone just feels the best outcome to me.

I felt differently. My rationale was that as long as no deal has been struck with von Bergow so he's still really the enemy. If Semine is von Bergow's enemy, then we're basically allied in spirit.

But I totally understand why Henry could go the other way as well.

Things are still pretty veiled in uncertainty at that point.
