I chose to stand against Dry Devil and went with the alternative plan

Following this quest Zizka said I was to blame that "half there men were dead" and I'm not sure why?

I killed everyone in the first gate without raising the alarm and opened the gate, did I miss something?

Never had that, always took out the guards via stealth

I mean, you can brute-force the gate open by causing hell - just never occurred to me as an option.

PS: what's interesting - during saving Hans, if any body gets found, the guards get reinforced. so if you take out someone, carry off the body

I explained that away by assuming there were guards outside. (Seems to be a hardcoded "story line".)

You went against dry devils plan to draw men from the fortress thus putting your own mens lives in more danger when you attack.

Even though you may have saved them all during the actual attack, the game still says your actions cause the loss of soldiers.
