Is the guild sword "Mark of the Brotherhood" now also bugged?

I'm level 23 in Crafting and have forged many things without any problems. Now I can't repair the guild sword in the "Mark of the Brotherhood" quest. I've failed 10 times. Is there a special trick, or is that now also bugged? Has anyone had a similar problem?

Not there yet in 1.2 but what do you mean you have failed 10 times?

If I remember correctly it's just about stealing it the first time, then there's an issue and you need to fix it. Maybe it's a skill issue in terms of craftsmanship?
By that time I always had the Martin's perk.... *shrugs*

After Meinhard takes over the swordfighting school, you're supposed to get the sword back from Emmerich. You get it broken and are supposed to put it back together again—"forging"—which is a completely normal forging process. But the attempts fail. Heinrich "messes up" it every time. You know that from your early days as a blacksmith apprentice. But it hasn't happened to me in a very long time. Now I'm level 23 in crafting, but I can't repair the damn sword.

That's super weird.... never had forging fail.
Alchemy, yea, when I was like "routine, routine, dadudadooo the day is nice" and forgot something.

But forging????

Never had that fail so I just thought it's maybe a skill thing.... hrm
