KCD2 Won't Launch After Patch / Steam Update

I've updated both the game and Steam version and now KCDII won't load up at all. Anyone else come across this? I've tried resetting. Any help would be much appreciated!

when you mentioned the game won't launch, do you mean by the game not starting at all? or is the menu screen not showing?

Not starting at all for me, syncs with steam cloud then I see the Steam spinner for a moment before it reverts back to KCDII game page on Steam

well this seems like a new issue

have you tried verifying game files / restarted steam / restarted pc / reinstalling the game?

if yes and nothing has worked then im sorry to be unable to help

i myself have been unable to start a new game as it gets stuck on an infinite loading screen after the siege cutscene :(

What is also good to try is to move all the mods into another directory and possibly, if it works, to put them back one by one to isolate the one that is messing up or simply to wait for them to be updated.

i've tried starting a new game both with mods and without mods, i still get stuck on an infinite loading screen after the siege cutscene :(

you could always try reinstalling the game when everything else doesn't work. i've reinstalled mine to try to fix the infinite loading screen but it's doesnt work

I've tried all of the above except reinstalling which I will try now... I play on Steam Deck with no mods. Appreciate you trying to help!

I just want to add that uninstalling and reinstalling the game did not work for me either.....

This is really annoying, and only started happening after the latest patch. I've tried everything.

ah im sorry that didn't work for you :( but i dont play on steam deck so i don't really know too much about it, hopefully a new patch will be out soon to help with the issues :(

Same here. No mods. Game doesn't launch.
