How do I get sheep guts?

In the Troubadours quest, I have to get sheep guts (I don't want to buy them), but I hunt them and none of them give me the guts, and I have the " Bounty of the Wild" perk from the "Survival" skills.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

The perk wasn't working for me after the patch, didn't notice until I tried to do this quest.

What fixed it for me was drinking the respec lethean water potion then reapplying perks.

The perk is busted currently, either you buy them OR roll the game back to previous version 1.12

That perk stopped working after the patch. I found a fix though.

Drink some lethean water to reset the perks and it works like a charm.

You can also go to a butcher and buy them. Offal is cheap.

Oh, right! I had tried it before the patch and got the guts (I was just testing it since I did it during the day and the guards saw me). I thought it was a bug in the new patch, but I wanted to be sure. Many thanks to the four who responded!
