Is there any way to side with Sigismund?
He's obviously a far stronger ruler than wenseclasesdssedl. He fights muslims left and right in the Balkans, becomes emperor of the HRE, and significantly contributes into eliminating the hussites. Henry, as a soldier now, should realize that it's not like Sigismund walked along a row of people, smiled at Henry, and said "kill HIS family."

No, because it's a historical event that is happening.

Historically, he leaves the siege of Kuttenburg because it cost too much to be worth anything, he leaves and Wenceslas is released from prison, immediately knights about 300 people for service and he reclaims his throne.

You can just play as the worst ally Jan Pisscar could ever have.

Shoot your arrows, serve some fine minced teas and so on... but you can't change the outcome. I just read that one guy here even ate Mutt and after a few days he comes back, so it doesn't matter whatever you do.

You can even reverse a failure, Sigizmond did back then. The letter of free travel for the nomads, just keep it, after getting it.

Your argument is very weak.
First of all, this is 1403. He isn't Holy Roman Emperor. Hussite war hasn't happened even yet.
So Sigismund's future "contribution" doesn't really matter anything here.
Second of all, Sigismund is the main reason why Henry lost his family. Sigismund literally brought Cumans from Hungary who were not paid properly rather they pillaged, murdered village. Sigismund's attack on Skalitz was specifically because of his greed and need for Silver. So he kinda did tell people to kill everyone in Skalitz which were Henry's family and neighbours. Even killed the german npc who actually supported Sigismund.
He was directly there in the first game. You can even see him when he takes his army to towards Talmberg while looking for Radzig who is Henry's father. And if he were there, Sigismund's army would have torched the place.
Lastly, this ain't alternate history. And I don't understand why you expect Henry to grovel at Sigismund's feet.

So you would really side with the arsehole who killed your family!? (He was there in person) Why are people so inclined to crawl at the feet of anyone who knows how to manipulate them and to look like "the Alpha"? Besides he orderes a pogrom in Kuttenberg (in the game). There is absolutely NO reason Henry would side with such a cruel bastard and betray ALL of his friends.

It's called RPG. And yeah, sounds like a better choice to me. You've got to learn how to think about things beyond yourself. Useless drunk vs guy who staves off the muslim invaders who planned to conquer all of Europe and did conquer a huge portion.

Yeah, but I know it happened. I studied it in college. It makes more sense to side with him in-game and out. Ever played an RPG before? It's not against the concept to add artistic liberty. Not everything is historically accurate in the game anyways.

You know someone else planned to conquer all of Europe starting in the early 1940s. That's not always the mark of a good leader/person my guy lol
Edited: the one hinted at also almost conquered all of Europe. Plus more besides just to help illustrate the point lol

Sigismund can only be judged in the present since we can't see in the future, us as the player may already know but from a role-playing perspective, we don't know.

So you're saying outside world knowledge cannot be used in games? I guess I'll start trying to ride rabbits, eat tables rather than at them, and see if Henry can fly.

Historical fiction has limitations - it's why it's historical fiction instead of just fiction.

If there's a ground in history, you CANNOT change it.

Alternative histories, or parallel universes are different. KC:D's are "historical fiction."

With that said, if it was fully an RPG (does such thing exist outside table top gaming?), sure you could be on the wrong side of history and fail alongside Sigismund. Would make for an interesting "Game Over" as you head with tail between legs back to Hungary.

You know what artistic liberty is in this game? Keeping Markvart alive even though he died in 1402 from an arrow. So they kept him in the game and then let him die the same way. From an arrow from someone.
There is a subtle nature to it. You lack that unfortunately.
