Unable to find Goatskin.

So I am struck on this quest where I am unable to find Goatskin. Any way to resolve this?

In the bath house find the german guy Udo, play some dice and tell him he should go home, follow him.

Tobi on X released a statement about the bug should be fixed soon. The workaround is to load to a point before you got the mission and to regrab it and it will work as intended.

this is not working, Udo just stand there like idot, even puching him in the face wont let him lieave

i just finished the goatskin quest. i talked to the bathhouse owner near the horse sellers in town. i waited for the german guy "udu" ? and followed that quest . i found goatskin and finished that part of the quest. i guess its only bugged for some people.

If you go to the bath house near the sword guild and black horse tavern, you can talk to that bath woman manager. She'll tell you about goat skin and let you know he robs german merchants. There's one in the bar. You talk to him and force him to leave. Your Intimidation needs to be moderately high. Once he leaves tail him and goatskin will hop out and rob him.

It's not bugged you guys just don't be paying attention

I don’t have the dialog option to tell Udo to go home, it’s missing. Played dice with him 2 times, nothing changed. Waited for him to leave (around mindnight), then followed him 5+ minutes and nobody attacked him until he entered the hotel.

It's not bugged you guys just don't be paying attention

It's you that is not paying attention. People can and have forced him to leave and followed him all the way outside the city with no sign of an ambush.

The exact same bug.
Goatskin doesn't appear anywhere: not in his hideout (day/night).
He doesn't attack Udo when he's heading home after playing dice. I watched a walkthrough on YouTube, and in my case, he even takes a different path. And by the way, there are no dialogue options with the German, like convincing him to go home. Only the dice game. However, after losing, the German isn't robbed on his way home.
Goatskin is also not in the alley where he is supposed to attack the German. Neither during the day nor at night.
I deliberately left the main quest for last. I completed all the side quests + waited for patch 1.2

Well, at least there's quite a few people who have trouble with this bug so hopefully they'll fix it in their next patch. Oh and just saying for anyone who hasnt tried, killing udo doesnt fix it. His ghost keeps gambling still in the bathhouse even after his body is gone.

Reinstall older version of the game, do the quest and then update your game again if you don't want to load your old save file.
