Noble's plate legs gives double defence of what they should?

This can't be a feature xD Here I am weighing if I should go laminar knight legs for stamina use reduction together with normal boots (perk for repairing them) vs full plate legs for extra armour, when I see my leg armor go up to like 300 against stabbing xD It seems to double because it uses a my foot slot, so my guess is the game sese it like I have an extra pair of leg plate but on my feet. Kinda makes the choice obvious which sucks because the perk is very good, but not 134 less armour good xDDDDDDDDD
