So from the posts here I should probably NOT download the patch, yeah?

they dropped a few hours ago the patch 1.2.1 which solves the performance issues on the 1.2, so you can download it now

STOP!!! DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT ARMEDTERROR!

That hotfix is for the borked DLSS issue, it DOES NOT fix the rest of the gamebreaking bugs and it will break your game if you do download it.

Best suggestion: Play in "Offline" mode and do not download the patch until a proper fix is released for all the big bugs.

Cool, thanks for the warning. I have steam already set to not automatically patch my games because of stuff like this lol. Just gonna hold off for a bit.

a lot of perks/skills and mechanics are still broken. but it's playable - at least but i avoid to play atm

The problem is this patch had some nice fixes (kuttenberg shops now open correctly) but at the same time bork your game (breaking quest, breaking perks) so... better wait until another hotfix drop

A lot of main quests are impassable and broken due to missing NPCs and cutscene triggers.

You can play sidequests, but the main story is incomparable in it's current state. There are a lot of aggravator/burner accounts posting on this discussion page so use your own judgement and don't blindly listen to any old "lol! Mine works fine! Download it nao!" copypastas.

Yeah, I am definitely going to wait. It's ashame it sounds like the game is in a worst state than on release.

yeppers ,
it has a few odd behaviors on 1st run, but read the forum the fixes are simple, if you have mods install remove/disable them they'll probably need an update
