not sure if it's changed now that kcd 2 actually supports mods via steam; but I've been modding my game for a while now before the update and achievements still work. So I don't really see why they wouldn't tbh

There is no check in steam for mods for KCD2 nor is there a check for using Dev mode. Do understand that using mods may cause the game to break if they add patches or new content. Always keep a backup save previous the patch in case of any issues.
