Kingdom Come: Deliverance II

Milanese Plate Leg Armour is confusing the hell out of me.
I've had this armour since pretty damn early in the game and now I'm in Kuttenberg and despite having access to the best/most expensive armour, my early game leg armour still (appears) to provide more leg protection as the stats are being doubled since they take up two slots.
Is this intended, a bug or just bad UI?

Milanese leg armor is probably the first or second best in the game.
Sounds a bit like a bug to me. they should take up two slots (leg plate and boots) but not get their defence counted twice.
At least that's how it sounds to me.

What does UI have to do with it?

It's an open world game and so you're gonna run into enemies or people who own some good stuff. If you happen to run across it then you lucked out. I've been using the same bow throughout the entire game because nothing I've found beats 200 power. I got it after I killed someone in their sleep.

I'm sure it is but sounds wrong that it's counted separately for each slot and added together, certainly wasn't like that in KCD 1
Looks like a bug as it has an insane protection value, double of what is listed (and of the next best one..))

It was exactly like that in kcd1, alot of the legplates gives their defence in the boot slot aswell.

Does leg armour even protect against anything? Is there any attack (except arrows) than can target the (lower) legs?
