oh ok, so im not alone wondering that the nighthawl seems darker then before...

I had assumed this was due to the DLSS4 update, as it seems to work the same outdoors (where lighting hasn't really changed), and only affects internal spaces with really poor lighting...

Either that, or they tweaked it so it wasn't so much of an "I win" potion when there was zero light, as, by rights, if there is zero light, you should still have difficulty seeing...

Nerfing the Nighthawk indoors makes no sense, as the thieving happens mostly at dark and inside the buildings. If it IS a nerf, then it's just stupid and unlogical one. If we need torch indoors anyway to see, why the hell use Nighthawk at all? AS in outdoors you can see npc's fine in the night as even the bandit's use torches or sit by the bonfire.

You can still see better in complete darkness, at least enough to be able to navigate, which you cannot otherwise do without a torch... You just can't see as if it's day time like you could previously...

I personally consider that more realistic, as the Nighthawk potion was, IMO, stupidly OP as to just how much it brightened up interior spaces with even zero available light...

If there is zero available light, you should still have considerable difficulty seeing in that space due to how easy it is for you to hide there...

the games gamma feels darker overall by default.
I can’t see anything in the basements in Kuttenberg anymore except where there are many candles. Shadows are pitch black and not able to be navigated without torch

How dark do you have your gamma set, as this might be the issue?

I did increase my gamma slightly (maybe one, or two steps) as I noticed DLSS really makes the game very dark overall, which I mostly do prefer, but even broad daylight felt overcast until adjusting the gamma...

1stly, there were no mention on Patchnotes that Nighthawk is especially nerfed except that the DAYtime effect is lower because of Maleshov. 2ndly, on my screen on default gamma even on indoors wheres some indoor light burning, I can't see ♥♥♥♥ without using torch quickly. Is that realistic: thief igniting torch every 10-30 seconds indoors while in the game mechanic there's potion for seeing in dark in which's descrioption theres that it improves dark vision, not that it improves dark vision only in outdoors? And no, setting gamma over default isn't and option, as it makes daytime too bright. Except of course if the meaning for Nighthawk in stealing wise is to just steal horses at night (which can be done during day easily) and steal stuff from bandit camps, then it's ok. But the other main reason for Nighthawk besides using dark as a disguise is that there's no need to use torch either, as it indicates where thief is, also in indoors.

Also, there's easy to see with some uncollectable items indoors, that the dark with Nighthawk isn't working right as these items glow bright white even when there's room with no light source. This didn't happen prepatch.

It's too dark indoors also without using DLSS.
