but, its crazy to wait until 5 pm and than downloading 64gb, than rewritting files…. its endless, it should have something like preload or earlier release time
I had one aborted start. It froze on the load art. It didn't crash the computer. I closed Steam and reopened it, then the game, all worked. If that hadn't worked, I would have done a restart. Unless it's an older game that requires some manual configuration in .cfg or .ini files. I've been lucky, so far.
And yes, the patch is big and the game will be repatched completely so a massive amount of data is recompiled. The patch took good 30 minutes to download and process.
