Absolutely you do. DLSS is free performance for 1, and for 2 TAA is incredibly horrendous. It's a blurry mess! This isn't an opinion, its a fact.
However Im not here to debate on why or why not a setting should be turned on, Im here because unfortunately my DLSS literally is not applying even though I have an option to turn it on. It just wont turn on after clicking CONFIRM it is stuck on DLAA (DLSS Native AA). I cannot go to the Quality or Performance preset as when I click CONFIRM after choosing those presets, nothing changes in terms of both Visuals and FPS changes
Hey mate, I believe DLSS override is what started this problem.
Actually, an update on this issue I have found: In the NVIDIA APP where you override the DLSS model, I see DLSS OVerride - Super Resolution is set to DLAA (100%). I cannot change this option. I keep changing it to "Let 3D Application Decide", however it keeps reverting back to "DLAA (100%)".
I think this right here is exactly what is causing my problems. The game is stuck in DLAA when using DLSS no matter if I choose DLSS - Native AA, Quality, Balanced, or Performance...
Idk how to get this option to go back to default though. Ive tried restoring the Nvidia App settings and even uninstalling the app but it wont change from DLAA 100%.
I absolutely understand what it's for... You clearly do not and I feel as though many would agree with me on this.
Again, Im not here for a debate. Im here with a problem and Im looking for a solution if anybody is able to find the remedy.
In the Nvidia app are your global settings overriding the game-specific settings?
I revert back to 572.47 and everything works fine.
Btw. Do not use DLSS4 overide. Stay on original ingame DLSS v 3.7.10.0.
When you will have after that problem with DLSS, switch to FSR Performance. Then restart game and change back to DLSS Quality/DLAA (or preffered DLSS settings).
This solution work for me.
This worked! Thank you so much. It turns out the driver 572.70 (latest) is now allowing me to change ANY settings in NVIDIA APP or NVIDIA Control Panel. It kept saying Access denied in control panel. Reverting to 572.60 Driver actually fixed it all. Thanks so much.
Easiest way to fix this is to go into the Nvidia App -> Drivers, and where it says 'Game Ready Driver' switch to 'Studio Driver' (which is the one before: 572.60) and install that one.
After you've installed that one all games in which you set the overrides before are reset to defaults.
I tested setting them, running a game and it all worked and also you can unset setting afterwards. Even switching DLSS model override presets work.
As a side note:
All 'Override' settings set in the Nvidia App literally override what you use in the game, meaning if you set the 'DLSS Override - Super Resolution' to DLAA 100% it forces Native AA whenever you put the game on DLSS, which is the reason you couldn't see any change in performance when you tried setting different DLSS settings in the game.
Hope this helps, happy gaming buddy!
Edit: tried to get some bad English out of my post ;-)
How does one use DLSS correctly
