Selecting NEW GAME doesn't start a new game from the Beginning

I tried to research this topic in discussions first but was not successful. Sorry if this is a known bug or a known topic.

I just completed my first run through. I want to keep that iteration of the game and start a new one from scratch. When researched, someone said simply selecting NEW GAME, and then selecting a "Playline" other than #1 would start a new game from the beginning. This either never worked or is now bugged. When I select NEW GAME, I can see I have 'Playlines' 2-5 empty. I selected Playline #5 and the game starts during the "Last Rights" raid at the Suchdol castle where you play as Godwin with the crossbow. I've closed the game, selected NEW GAME again, then selected Playlist #3 and it did the same thing.

Is it possible to have multiple play throughs of the game active at one time? If so, how?

No that is the beginning it then opens up to Henry and Hans riding together and talking. That scene then replays later on at the ending raid. You will know its the beginning because it won't tell you it's the Dry Devil giving the orders I believe. Rather a Suchdol Defender. Again you are fine. Just Crossbow a few, Run down do the gate, once you push the ladder down skip that cutscene and you'll see

It’s still dry devil giving the commands, you just would have no idea who that is on your first time through. I believe it plays out almost exactly the same, just the cutscene in the later version carries on after Hans gets shot instead of transitioning to the start of the game.

Gotcha been a hot min since I started a new playthrough and paid attention I just speed through it. I plan on taking my time for Hardcore to see if I missed anything little nuggets of info. But after doing the Been there done that and Lent achievement it kinda took my soul XD
