Hardcore doesn´t work

Installed patch and since this time neither new simple game nor new hardcore game could have been started. It stuck all the time loading. Tried it for about 10 times, waiting ten minutes, but nothing happened. Now I deleted the whole game and install it for new. That´s the first time I am disappointed with the game. KCD1 was brilliant, KCD2 is an absolutely masterpiece. Thanks for about 2000 hrs playtime.

My hardcore is broken too but not in that way.

Hmm just started a new game on hardcore, no problem.

As always - it's most likely a mod.

Same here, I'm facing the same issue, stuck in loading with the hardcore mode, I had to go out, one hour later still, I checked the files via Steam, everything is ok, I can load previous save in normal mode, that's it ;-(

Not as always, on my side I've never used any mod, apparently as I see on Discord, others are facing the same issue with mod free

The same problem, no mods, end normal mode, now can't start hardcore...

It was so long ago. I finished KCD1, Am I right or wrong for what I am going to say? I thought one can only start hardcore mode if one has completed the game once. If so, maybe it is the same for KCD2, no? yes?

I was having same issue overwrting old save fixed it

Yea would have suggested that as well.

There was an issue with the second playline from the beginning so now I always back up my saves and then delete the playline so it's clean.

And, of course one gotta have all the bad perks. Bad Back is already a blast :D

Nah you can hop right into HC mode

It looks like we are a certain number of users who can't play the hardcore mode as I see on discord, it is very frustating, I even deleted all the save files, reboot etc but there is nothing I can do, hope the devs will react fast tomorrow! It such a great adventure

Ok guys, it works now on my side, i thought that I've tried everything but I got wrong, instead of just overwriting the last save by opening a new game from the last previous files, I deleted all my save file and put them in a safe folder so that I was sure that the folder of previous party was empty but it doesn't work that way, we just have to overwrite the last party by lauching the new game from there in hardcore mode and it did works on my side as it does for others at least! Hopefully it will work as well for you soldiers!
