You should know everything can happen in this game. It's not linear game.
The reason I brought it up as what if, was because of the Pebbles question.
I know it's not linear, but it's a huge spoiler to know that this is the outcome of one of the situation, the burning of a town is a pretty big deal. It breaks all the tension and surprise of the scene because you know the guy isn't kidding around and will burn the place down.
