Is there a way to improve the non HD skybox?
I could show an image, but all players probably know what Im' anout (about steam screenshot key doesn't work in game and in game photo mode shots don't appear on steam somehow).

Anyways, the game looks beautiful but the clouds in the sky look like a 640x480 skybox. They're not HD and are very poor quality. They look like Skyrim before the HD skybox render was installed back in 2011.

Any way to improve this? My graphic settings are maxed. The rest of the game looks beautiful.

they use volumetric clouds, if they increase that quality, that would tank performance, pretty much be as unoptimized as star citizen online, and barely run.

I suppose that's correct, but ♥♥♥♥, they are the lowest D part of the game- all the rest of the game is HD, but the clouds are just fuzzy fuzz.

I realise there's weather but the cloud skybox just looks like a skybox much of the time.

Open console (hit ~) and try these:
r_VolumetricCloudsRaymarchStepNum 256 (default 64, max 256, increments of 16)
r_VolumetricCloudsStereoReprojection 0 (default 1)
r_VolumetricCloudsShadowResolution 256 (default 64, max 256, increments of 16)
You can also try r_FogShadows 1, it should allow fog (hopefully including clouds) to cast shadows

I can't say whether I've observed much change when doing it this way, but after adding it to autoexec.cfg to c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance2\ and playing with it for a while I would say that the clouds are a bit nicer.

I wanted to play with r_VolumetricCloudsPipeline 1 but that somehow turned the sky to black on game restart (not enough memory?)
