lol there is a sign showing you when to block. you can literally beat any endgame enemy with lvl 1 with the weakest sword and without any armor. just block and strike. the masterstrike is way harder to do.
ask Eric, he knows
Use the table to buy recovery time, Henry has more respiratory issues than normal. He's now a 600lb invalid instead of a 170lb man with emphysema.

He can not 1-shot you if you block his attacks. Stay passive, do not attack. Fish for master strikes. You can not afford to get his since you do not have any armor, which means you have to play passively-perfect block his attacks if you must but do not riposte back, keep your stamina high. Once you are comfortable with his attack patterns, master strike him once and back off. Rinse and repeat. Once you get past the initial shock that he can take away most of your health in a single hit, you will be fine.
This depends how much time you have spent gearing up and training your skills before you progressed the story to this point. I spent a lot of time there and my Warfare and Sword skill was around 15. The more time you spend leveling up, the easier time you will have in certain story moments.
