How to kill Istvan ?
OK so im at the part where i have to kill Istvan and recover the sword from KCD 1

The guy almost 1 shots me every time.

How can i kill his ass ?

Dont get hit lol

The second you load into the fight, take a couple steps back and create distance

Then just fight em like you would anyone else

Use the dishonorable way.

Edit: Cutscene stuff, you just sit and watch.

It's literally impossible, even if i get hit 1 time its over.

for example u can kill some guards and get their armor, after that use master sword skill to kill him (skill from master cat). notice that the helm is important if u doesnt have - one\two hits by your head is death

He doesn't have armor so he dies quite fast. With basilard, that I think I found in scribes office, it took only 2 hits to kill him.

Yeah that document is useless. My game went on just fine without it.

I'm pretty sure keys are in room above, up the stairs from where you fight him. He still goes through the window even if you duel him.

I had the opposite issue. I was expecting a cool duel and he died to two masterstrikes.

Hmm, If he oneshots you, you do not have armor with you. There are two guards downstairs. One at the table and another one upstairs in a bed. Just kill them and equip their stuff. Do not riposte because stamina. Try to faint him. Hlld LMB and change direction of attack and release.
