Bugged Side Quests?

Completed a side quest for example the Guild in Kuttenberg now i cant interact with Cheynek at all and then when i look on the map it says New Quest when i go to the icon i can't even speak to the npcs any idea?

There are several instances of the same across the world. That NPC probably has some role to fill later on after you finish what's being the main part of game.
It's the same for me so, progress through the story and you'll probably get an option to interact with that NPC. Sometimes it's a bug so try to reload prior talking to him but it's unlikely because most of the NPC become non-interactable after doing quests.
1 NPC doesn't even have a name tag which you meet on the road.
You'll know when you encounter her.

I've finished the main story, was just doing all the side stuff possible, I have also tried reloading and it makes no difference I've got 7 Npcs I cannot interact with but all have quest icons

Same thing happened with me here, from what i've been able to gather you cant do anything other than starting a new game and doing the sidequests first before the main quests. Katherine Chenyek and a few others cant be talked to for me. hope they fix it since i want to do sidequests they have

Having the same problem.

Same with others that have "repeatable" quests (like brawling). Practise with the swordmaster is bugged, cant interact with him to make him start attacking in the area or end practice. Only way is to beat him or wait for it to time out, which takes several minutes.
Turning in seal to Rat was bugged (had to knock her out to make her interactable again)
Archery contest is bugged and wont start so it cacnt end unless i start attacking people.
Didnt have any problems at all in the first area.

If anyone could help me resolve or tell me how to start the quest that involves forging the Aboslver longsword? I've gone up to Thomas so many times now after each main quest and there is no prompt to speak with him.

Devs said that the update 1.2 will have more than a 1000 fixes in it.
So patience. Should appear live in two weeks max.

I've only encounter "quest marker but no interaction" once, and that was with Chenyek.
You need to progress in the main quest a little more. After Exodus go fast travel a couple of times, a messenger from the guild will be a random encounter and you can do The Spark. (I had to look that up online myself, I've been working on achievements and The Spark has a nice one. I got it.)
