Make your horse faster

Does anyone know how to make your horse go faster without buying a new horse? Cause im on a mission that i have to chase someone down and they get away cause my horse isn't fast enough but i dont wanna buy a new horse.

Good. Hold on to her. She changes into something amazing. You’ll know when you get a certain perk. You can’t unlock it. It appears when you have a strong bond with her.

Avoid fast travel and just keep traveling with her manually.

There is an amazing perk that somewhat defeats the purpose of getting a better horse. There is a perk under Horseriding tree that essentially allows you to peel out and go into a quick burst of speed from a stand still. Get that perk and abuse it. Just stop, doublestap spacebar while still and you'll be able to essentially beat anyone. You just need to reset the buff every 15 seconds.

Herring and Pebbles both have the increased stat perk by riding 35 km.

There is also a fast horse you can steal and make your own in the nomad camp for some groschen near nebakow where Bergow got ambushed. (thats what I use)

Just keep in mind that you will lose Pebbles/Herring then.. especially after a certain plot point. (At least I didnt find a way to get them back)

Take off the saddle, and other things besides the bridle and horse shoes. Should speed up some.

ok so should i just hold off from that mission then until i get that perk? and do you know what bond level it would be?

and im on the 2nd map of the game so i can use that camp anymore

Not entirely sure. I unlocked well before making it to the second map because I was unaware we could fast travel.

If you plan to keep Pebbles just continue with everything you want to do. The perk auto unlocks after riding her for 35 km.

Just buy a faster horse. By the time you get to Kuttenberg you should have over 20k worth of gold and random stuff. What else are you going to spend the money on?
