how are you supossed to flee in combat

maybe i missed a tutorial pop-up or something, but how are you supposed to flee while in combat? for starters I can't figure out how to stop locking onto an enemy apart from swinging my mouse around wildly until the lock disengages and even then it just locks on right away after I've managed to run for a meter and spins me right round back to the enemy.

you cannot as the lock on is forced upon us. The only way is run before the lock on happens on. Or run with your horse.

You just have to swing wildly until it disengages

You hold block to disengage and then turn away then run for it.

Hold shift or middle mouse button (mouse 3)

Lock on is released the moment you press shift.

@ op there is perk that makes you like 20% faster which in reality feels like it is making you 50% faster.

Take it, it´s incredible. You´ll become flash. No seriously, this perk is busted not sure if it works right but you´ll become stupidly fast when running though I don´t remember its name anymore or where it was so you´ll have to read through all the perks in agility, vitality ect.

I beat everyone in fights. Hence, I don't run at all.
