Lost my horse where is it?

SO I progressed decently far in the game, and after arriving at Devils Den from progression my horse is no longer there. I have absolutely no clue where it went or how to find it.

is it an owned horse, not stolen (and unclaimed)? You've tried to summon it with x like normal?

the map transfer does need some polish. I had sent mutt home in the last map then when i got here he was following me around again but i couldn't interact with him at all.

If you stole the horse then you won't get it back. If you own it press x or whatever button you use to call your horse if controller

I hadn't used my horse much as I did mostly the main story and I didn't have a horse up to a certain point.
